That's the ideal pickup line, but it doesn't work that often. I don't suppose the cheese-lines here work that well either!

Never had any luck with pickup lines.

But as for one that will get you funny looks or just ignored: "Um hi there, I just lost my cat (dog or whatever animal you have works too) in a fire... and I'm looking for something to pet and feed. Interested?
