Everyone,

Due to the ridiculous growth of SaggerWorld.com and the upcoming re-release of SaggerWorld.tv we will be performing a server move and modifications over the course of the next month. Specific dates and times will be posted to this thread as they are finalized.

Hey Guys,

Saggerworld.com will be moved on Friday June 12th at 10:00PM PDT to a new server and to a self contained VPS to allow me to tweak the site and server settings a lot more. This will improve both speed and security. Additional upgrades to the forum software will also be made that weekend.

This upgrade step is also a key requirement to bring back saggerworld.tv... with over 23 Million views of only 287 videos the last (in under a year) we were pushing that setup pretty hard. This time around I am investing in a much more robust setup. I look forward to sharing more details with you soon.

The site will not be down during this upgrade but the gallery uploading and forum posting will be turned off during the move.

The site should only be down for no longer than a day, so unfortunately during this time users will not be able to vote. It will not interfere with the votes already made.

But if we're not able to vote, why are the contest open? or did i misunderstood you?

You can vote now, ONLY on the day that the server is changed, on the 12th August 2011 will you not be able to vote for a MAX of one day. EVERY other time you still can.

Ok guys just a reminder that the site will be experiencing an effective outage tomorrow while it is transferred to a dedicated setup. While it will not be offline you will not be able to post anything to the forums. You should still be able to chat and browse the gallery and forums. Once you see the forums open again it means you are seeing the site in it's new home :)

Ok I am about to begin the server move... I will be locking the forums and galleries now.

The server move has been completed and everything appears to be working correctly. I have checked the uploading for the gallery and the user albums and they both work as expected. Please let me know if you see any issues :)

Site seems slow generally, changing pages etc.

The buttons on the text boxes and the text boxes themselves are incredibly slow loading for me; just waited a couple of minutes for this one to load up.

The chat sound thing we talked about yesterday on multiple tabs/screens.

Presumably slow for everybody?

Yes it seems that way, i have had a few people say the site is running slow. Will be checking in with CWolf tonight so we can both try and resolve this.

Just went back to google chrome instead of firefox and it seems faster.

I believe there were some initial issues as I was making changes yesterday, however the site seems very fast today. Can anyone else confirm?

Seemed a lot faster yesterday for me atleast. Chrome just isn't working on the site here, firefox is better.. But still not as quick *or anywhere near as quick* as it has been

I will try again tomorrow at work to see how a different line works out.
