Hey Guys,

Well as you can see we have made the switch to a completely new platform to run SaggerWorld. We made the decision to switch after numerous ongoing issues with vBulletin and the companion software.

We have worked with the crew for the past couple of days to complete the conversion and we realize there are still some small bugs although overall everything has gone very smooth and we are very excited with the switch.

Please note that we will be making additional changes over the next couple of days as we settle in to the software a bit more.

Please familiarize yourself with all of the new features. Most of the conversion kept things in the same place however there are certain things that could not be converted like Blog Titles, and certain parts of your profile. However they are all easy to fix.

If you have any questions on where to find something please post a message below.

I like the new design of SW, much more modern and it's way faster with the page loading. But I'm missing the bar at the bottom with the user to user chatfunction. I'm not really a fan of the big chatroom even though you can private chat with someone. Any plans on bringing something similar back to Invision?

yeah, I miss the old chat, it was much more easy to use than this new one. Also, I used the old new posts button all the time, and there doesn't seem to be one anymore.

This place is great! Seriously, it's a very good looking website and seems "smooth" to use. Congrats!

Let me mull over the old chat system for a couple of days and I will make a decision. I was not a huge fan of it because it did add a lot of load time.

As for the the new posts button there is a link at the top called "View New Content". This will display the new content in what ever section you are browsing, so it is actually even better than the "New Posts" button.

Perhaps there's something similar out there for chat function without having to go into a big chatroom?

I saw the new posts in the section, however, i liked the old button because it let me look at ALL the new posts without having go through the sections, that way I could log in and check things and spend my time replying rather than going back and forth through the forums.

as for the chat, its not the old system that was good, rather the format which allowed you to chat without having to go into a separate window. I just found it was more conducive to talking to people.

Hey guys, is it normal that there is no "comment field" when I browse pictures? I just cannot comment pics now.

Ok guys, just to inform you, with regards to commenting on pictures, you should now all be able to comment on any picture that has been uploaded since the upgrade however at the present time you are unable to comment on the older pictures that we moved across! Sorry about this.

Also i have found out that some users needed to create new accounts to log on to this site. I again am sorry about this, however please contact ME directly via PM so that I can merge your older account with your new one. This way you will still be showing the posts that you have done etc etc

I miss the old system... This one seems to take longer to load than the old one for me. Also there was a certain "fun" quality about the look of the old vbulletin rather than this. Would it be at all possible from a code and cost standpoint to let the users choose which forum system they want to use? Also the old way of having the instant message footer is very much missed.

I am not sure about why the load times would be slower because this software is far better designed both from a backend and frontend perspective and so far the speed seems to be a lot better for me, along with lower load on the server. If there is any information you can provide me such as time of day, your IP, etc I will be happy to look in to what might be causing the issue. Please PM that information to me. Unfortunately it is not technically possible to run both software sets as the two systems run on two different database designs. As for the chat I realize this system is setup a bit different but once you get used to it you'll the advantages. The biggest advantage is page load times ironically enough :)

I think my main issue is just trying to get used to the new system, my computer has fast days and slow days, and its probably just a slow day. Plus I'm a member on several other forum sites and they all use vbulletin so the switch just makes it that much more complicated. I just wish there was a way to change the look of the site on an individual user basis, because the colors are just not working for me.
