my recommendations for you who smoke, is stop smoking. It smells bad and a huge turn off for me... and not very attractive. Sagging is much better! :D

Why is everyone so anti-smoking? Yes, it's bad but some of us started early in life and can't just quit. "Stomping" fags out is not easy as you may think. I have a nasty cold so i'm kinda cranky 2day ;-( sorry.

I just don't get why someone would PAY to kill themselves. Its just illogical for me, its not cool, you die, you stink, your teeth go yellow, your skin goes yellow etc. Like I get cocaine: people get something out of it. I get pot: people get something out of it. But cigarettes? There are so many other ways to deal with stress and other things that are 1000x better than smoking.

lee, you said you started early in life, why'd you even start is my question? What was in it?

And cocaine doesn't claim any lives? A user can overdose on narcotics and die from one binge. If you "binge" smoke, you'll wake up coughing, not dead.

To each his own. If you don't like drugs, don't do drugs. And if you don't like cigarettes, don't smoke them. While you may not "get" smoking, I don't "get" drugs like cocaine or even pot. Seen way too many friends lose everything to drugs. Have I seen people lose their lives from smoking - yes - but from 40 years of smoking.

I agree, why would you pay to kill yourself ?
I don't get smoking or drugs, there is just nothing "cool" about that. Not to mention it stinks.

And yes people don't die for smoking once, but for smoking too much - but they all started by smoking once, and something like 80-90% of people who started will keep addict to it all their lives.

Everyone can quit. I don't beleive that anyone can't. My uncle had smoked for like 60 years, addicted, not sure how many per day but was a lot. He went to the hospital one day (not sure about details) from that visit, he stopped smoking for good.

My dad, smoked for 35 years (ish), had a heart attack in his mid 50s and stopped right away. Both cases though are medical.
Willpower!!

Why are so anti-smoking. Well as said, that person stinks, the room stinks, etc etc

With beyouz on this one. Major turn off. But also two comments: 1) Look at smokers who are about 40. Don't they look about 60? 2) Compre non-smokers to smokers - on average there must be about 40 IQ points difference. It's noticible those who can least afford them "have" to buy them!

Wow okay yeah thats what we're saying: smokers are bad people. BullS***. I don't get why smokers are being all victims here, it was their choice to get started, and what the anti-smoking people here are saying is two-fold. 1) why the heck would you start. Sure you're friends smoke, and that isn't a reason to smoke. Like (this is so cliché) if you're friends all jumped off a bridge would you do it? Not an excuse. And 2) we're pointing out that when you get older you stink lol, and that it isn't impossible to quit, you just have to do it right.

And DCsagger, my point is that in cocaine you get a high, there's a large reward for the risk that is taken on. The risk adjusted reward is awful for smoking, especially when you get EXACTLY the same effects from about a thousand different things. Sure people don't die from a smoking overdose, but guess what? Lung cancer and throat cancer etc get you eventually, sometime in that 40 years,

I was 13! A young, nieve and a kid who was easily led astray by a bunch of idiots. Ever heard of peer pressure? The fact that if you didn't join in, you don't fit and your life was made a living hell.

Yes, i had a choice but at that age you don't realise the consequences until you've grown up. I'm only 24 so i've still got time to quit if i choose to.....AGAIN ;)

OMG (shock) someone offered you ecstacy mate. Good for you in being wise and turning that down. Admittedly, i tried a joint once but i never really got high on it.

Growing up i watched the heartbreak and self-destruction drugs caused me older bro. He eventually went to prison and checked into a clinic to get himself clean. I remember my mum regularly cryin her eyes out cuz his behaviour was way outta control. Now, he is healthy and settled down with a beautiful family. Goes to show you can turn your whole life around. Guidance and sometimes tough love does that.

Nice to hear that there are so many non smokers over here. It's poison, Also some fats, alcohol, car exhaust, house perfumes and so many other things that are still promoted are poison. Anyhow, a poison less makes the world better.

Thanks to the new smoking laws in Belgium I can easily keep on lving on 10 cigarets a month. That's still not healthy, but I can live with that.
once you try silky sag, you'll never go back:wink:

Everyone is free to make their own choices. I don't do drugs or drink booze, but I enjoy cigs. If you don't like smoking, then don't smoke. And since smoking is pretty much banned nowadays is almost every indoor place - whether it's in the US, Canada, or much of Europe - my smoking shouldn't be a bother to you. But if there's one thing I hate it's people (in general, not necessarily on this board) who feel holier-than-thou because they don't smoke. Everyone's got a bad habit/vice. Mine's smoking.
