Yeah, I hear how you feel… I know it requires approval from admin/moderator in order for it to go through (which in my mind is not a good idea)… what if whoever does the approval is busy or on vacation.

I’d suggested to let it be posted, without approval, like on social media, and if whoever found something that shouldn’t be posted, or deems inappropriate, just report it and that’s the only thing I be fine waiting is for someone to be deleting the post.

I just don’t have the patience to wait for the approval to go through lol, but I understand it’s their job to do it.

Typically pics should be approved within 24 hours. I try to do it atleast once a day, depends on what's going on.

Sometimes a notification slips through and I miss an album in which case it could be a few days (every now and then I go and make sure I haven't missed any).

It's typically a one man show (me). The whole reason for the moderation is obviously to check for nudity etc, the reason for that is because of Google ads mean we can't have any of that.. So if something was approved and not reported and deleted, there's a chance Google could suspend ads on the site (it's happened before), which means there's no income (not that the ad revenue covers the server costs anyway these days)..

Wish it was a 'job' got paid for 😂

Oh I see, ok… that explains the random ads popping out at times I first visited this site. Yeah, I see @flameboard is not usually online everyday. Thankfully you’re doing it alongside him whilst it’d be more than a week if it were just him lol. Keep up the good work.

So, alright It kinda makes sense on the reasoning… it’s almost like YouTube in a way where they don’t allow nudity or p*rn there.

Tbh, I thought sites are free, till you said there’s income… my mistake lol.

Yeah same kinda idea as YouTube in a way.

Well the site costs money for the monthly server cost, the software that runs it has to be paid for a couple of times a year. Paying to own the saggerworld.com domain name. Etc. Nothing comes free. =( but Yeh, sadly the ad revenue doesn't cover the running costs.

Maybe if you ask @Lee249 to pay for the whole monthly cost, software etc. Then I think you and @flameboard is off the hook and got grief (which is the only thing that’s free) 😂🤣😂🤣

Just kidding Lee! I wouldn’t do that to you! 😂🤣

How does some help with the costs or donate to the cause to keep this site up and going for years to come

Way back in the day few years ago, the site had like 3-5 mods, but i don't see anyone listed as a moderator of the site :(

That is correct, people have moved on sadly over time now. I am always open to hearing from people that wish to become a moderator to help approve photos etc, however I used to always get people saying that they would like to be, after only being on the site for a month or so, when realistically it would be better to have someone that is known etc,

That is a good question, we used to have a PayPal donation system set up, that unfortunately ended almost 2 years ago now due to difficulties with it. I have however added to the top bar at the top of the page a new Donate Today button which will take you through to a donation page on Donorbox where any member can make a donation that way. These donations will show on a bank statement as "Online Donation" so nothing will refer to the name of this website which I know has been a issue with people in the past. By using this website, it is a completely secure way for members to donate.

Separately and in response to the above, as TheOther1 said, he is the one that approves a significant portion of the photos that are uploaded to this site, which I do greatly appreciate. He mentioned also the reason as to why this is done. I get that it can be frustrating, it is more frustrating for me when I have to fight with Google to allow ads to the site once a photo has been deemed as Sexual and Explicit to them resulting in the lose of the ads and the very minimal amount that this makes, which as he said, this does not cover the costs of actually running the site. We both have full time jobs and therefore I am sorry when things are delayed slightly in getting approved and appreciate that this can be frustrating to you. I do however thank you for continuing to take part in the site and joining in with the community.

@flameboard, maybe if you could find a few people from different time zones so that the work could be spread out a bit. Just a thought.

Have no issue with that at all haha, have previously had people from Australia and North America. So covered alot lol

To be honest, I thought when someone is a site main contributor like @Lee249, I thought it meant that he is a moderator… but I googled and I’m actually wrong lol.

Yeah, I know you have to ask yourself if you trust people that ask to be moderator… cause if mods do accept or decline pictures, definitely be aware of what you post… me personally, if I was deem moderator (Idk if I would do it, cause I don’t want to get into trouble but it’s like an experience), I’d stay away from pictures, if it’s a long one even bulges, cause it’s confusing if this is a bulge or boner as told in the rules… I would never want to get into trouble.

At the same time, if mods do remove members that’s been reported spam, that’s an easy target, cause there were at least 3 people that I reported to @TheOther1 as spam… he looked and thanked me for that. I know it’s risky to say to yourself is he/she worth the chance to be removed from the site due to spamming or abandoned the rules.

Overall @flameboard & @TheOther1 did a good job keeping this site open, Secure and safe for everyone to join.

@Astg94 I was actually a moderator in the past but due to accessibility I had difficulty with the 'mod panel' which allows mods full access. It wasn't the right time for me technology wise.

Even now... I wouldn't be able to commit myself because time constraints. Sweet of you assuming though 👍😃

Oh, so what you're saying is that you're having trouble taking control of whatever task mods are responsible on? Such as approving or declining photos, telling people to stop with the drama/arguments, and so forth? And that's due to accessibility and/or technology issues? I'm sorry for questions... I'm just a lil confused lol.

The way he accessed the site back then, didn't allow for the Moderator panel to be used very well, it wasnt very user friendly the way he accessed the site thats all.

Thanks @flameboard those were very different times. You had recently purchased the site & it needed a whole revamp. Wifi was not as widely distributed back then. I do honestly think about it.

I'm grateful to both yourself & @TheOther1 for the tireless dedication over the years it's truly amazing where we are at right now!

Sounds daft but I feel like we've been on this incredible journey that continues to proper. Thank you so much David & Oli for all your hard work guys it's really heartfelt ❤️

Do you know what happened to Rekhel? He went quiet on Tumblr always wondered.

Btw, good to see that we have someone moderating Discord 👍

So in conclusion. I have fond memories of being a Mod. I did get many albums published & fulfilled much of the role that I acquired. Always be grateful for the opportunity. Just wish it happened a year or so later haha x

You should really stop calling people by their real names unless it's public on their profile..

What? I chat with those people all the time... It's just a name for god sakes! I disagree with your statement.

If you wanna drive people away that's the lines to do it.

Thank you
