Hi guys,

This is SaggersRhot and this will be my last post on sw before I close my account. I have been on this site for a long time now and I made some nice friends, I saw and commented on alot of nice pictures and really enjoyed getting to spend time with all of you. There have been some inappropriate postings from time to time and there are a few trolls on here who do not have any pictures posted but like to cause trouble with other members on here. I saw it happen several times before. Some people on SW think that they can say anything they feel like because they are hiding behind their keyboard or phone typing. So, it's easy for people to say things and act tough while hiding because they would not say it to the other persons face if they were together. Those people are just losers!

Recently, I have been the subject of such a attack. I was called "old" and "fat" and was suggested that I was a "pervert" because I'm 40.

Yes, I'm 40. So what? I only talk with people on here in their 30s and late 20s. There is nothing wrong with that! This person who said these things about me just assumes that since I'm 40 and on SW that it makes me (or anyone my age) a pervert? This person does not even know anything about me!

I thought about this for a longtime and I decided to delete all my pictures and close my account. I like to chat with text messages or on Whatsapp or also on Skype.

If anyone on here still wants to connect with me and be friends, I'd like that very much. Please message me for my contact information if you would still like to talk. Let me know if you would like to connect via text messaging, Whattsapp or Skype and I'll send you my contact information.

I will keep my account open on here until the end of June so that everyone who still wants to connect with me has enough time to message me for my contact information. On July 1, 2020 I will close my account on sw.

Why close your account? Has something happened? I did not see any of your WhatsApp msgs. I am throwing myself out there. I even rang you several times to make sure that you're ok.

I do care you know! Same applies to all my contacts. Another flare up is worth it to save a life. I'm stressed out now 😢

It's a shame you decided to delete content and want to close the account. 

I warned a member the other day as he called someone fat, I'm assuming the same person you're referring to... I try to atleast scan read all forum posts but when working over 12 hour days I don't always want to read every single forum post along with having to approve pictures etc etc. But we rely on members to use the report feature to flag people violating the rules.. Bullying and insulting other members being one of them. The more people who complain about a certain member (typically its repeat offenders), the more likely it is they won't be around for much longer....

Sadly though this is the Internet and you're going to get dick heads and so on, so my general advice is to either ignore them or use the ignore feature so you never see their posts to begin with.

Potentially, though I've been part of forums which have as many (and more) posts in a minute, every minute as Saggerworld does in a day. Whilst obviously they have a mod team, I think they still all rely on the community reporting things back. 

If the mods/admins aren't then dealing with things in a timely manner, then that's a different problem.

I try to check the forum in the morning, on my lunch walk and in the evenings, but I'm not going to start reading a dozen unread threads at 7am. But if I see a report, then I deal with them first, always.

I don't know why this has happened it's affected me. I rang his number countless times. He never picked up i'm at a loss tbh.

I'm very sorry about what happened, I think you should think about it and keep your account active and ignore those messages and report those abuses to administrators

I understand if your feeling bullied and feel the only solution is to delete your account . The few friends you have made on here will miss you.  You’ve always been kind and friendly to me and I appreciate that.  I am myself am 41 years old but age shouldn’t have anything to do with how others treat you.
