Hi

I've been gone for a minute. I'll swing by from time to time I suppose. I've developed depression. I haven't been myself lately.

Take care everyone

@Dillon "aka Dilly" please seek support for your depression. I'm saddened to hear that you are going through this man.

I have suffered from this too in the past, so I can relate 😢

The most important thing is staying positive. Continue social interaction (where poss) find activities/hobbies to keep your mood from spiraling.

It's easy to give up... at the end of the day, it doesn't do you or your loved ones any favours mate.

Please PROMISE me you will seek help or atleast advice.

Take care x

I wasn't suggesting that he needed a shrink. Yes, the internet is a useful tool approach for researching stuff.

Going on from personal experience, the best method was simply to confide in someone I trusted. My mood changed after that. It's different for everyone.

I know for a fact that it doesn't take much to lift anyone who is either down or depressed.

Ps, you don't need drugs or any other bullS*** "pick me up" to tell you that OR waste money on shrinks believe me.

Take care,

Lee

I think the internet helps a lot.  I'm in a situation where I don't get out much, that's even before COVID and such, and coming to this board has always been a great relief and release to me.  Peace, and love it!

Thanks everyone. Life is weird sometimes.

I will go as far as to say that I was abused when I was a kid. It was so bad that not a day goes by that I think about it and it's hard not to think about it. And then my little stint in jail where I was abused again and all chained up and put in cuffs and shackles for a really long time didn't help the cause either, although I got a lot of money for that and it helps a little bit I guess. I've gotten over that by the way.

Idk, it's just I've moved on from a lot of things a lot of people and things change... Hopefully for the better. Most of me misses the old days. I realize that no one is perfect, we can all change for the better and don't dwell on the past and look back on that nonsense. The past is the past. That's what I have learned.

Did you not have a social worker or support? Reading what you went through makes my blood boil. Stuff like that can mess people up.

Glad to hear that you're working your way through it mate.

That’s tough life.... I’ve had felt boredom or depression when I’m home alone....usually the sites, whether it’s p*** sites, sagging sites, YouTube, etc. usually gets me less boredom or depression.

I think youve really thought about stuff and just life.

hope ur smart with all the money u got  Dont kill the goose that lays golden eggs  Its like if u do it right  maybe u dont ever got to go to work at a job unless u want to

Yeah bro i think we all change. I sort of now like talking to smart people and i think ive gotten sort of more nerdier like i think its now more cool to learn how stuff is put together and works and how to build stuff and fix stuff and trashing stuff is like now no fun and just a pointless waste

Very cool.  I learn a lot as I grow older and find different interests as well that keep me going.  Good advice.  I was really like this in my early- to mid-20's.

Totally agree mate.

I have to 'get off' to jollies somehow. Jeez... When we open up in April, there will be some blowing in the forecast too.

Yeah, can’t believe it’s a year already since the pandemic.... I’m getting second COVID-19 vaccine on St Patrick’s Day (March 17), then going back to work on late March early April (boo-hoo). I rather go on sites than working lol, but hey I get paid! 😜
