I think this is a misunderstanding. It can be slightly weird at first, but you are not enduring it. If you are turned on enough by the guy that you are with then you will be relaxed and if you use lube and you are relaxed and the guy goes slow you're first time doesn't have to be bad. My first time was actually very good, and a lot of gay guys I talk to say the same thing.
