Woah, that was certainly interesting to read, and I do believe you should talk to this guy more! I've had the same situation but the difference is that I'm very confident when I talk to guys ;P I like how you say you're more secure talking to girls; Don't be, guys are so easy to talk to, specially if you mess with them I think next time while you're talking to him you should like argue and be like, "You wanna get beat up punk ?" That'll certainly get him to play around and be himself ^^
