  1. I replace my iOS devices yearly because I think its worth it as I use them so often. I'm a total Apple fanboy, haha.

I've got a 1st gen iPad and a 3rd gen iPod touch. The only reason I bought the iPod is because I preferrred the interface for the music application over my phone. Though now I quite like my phones interface so I haven't used my iPod in a while. As for upgrading, the differences were the screen and a camera, neither I was fussed about to go spend money.

The iPad was the speed and the thickness etc, again not worth the money until mine starts failing, plus might be getting a new free one from work :)

  2. People replace iOS devices sometimes on a yearly basis if they have the money... If you start replacing your laptop/desktop on a yearly basis your an Apple fanboy.

I went and bought a 13" MBA a few weeks ago, returned it after a few days. It just felt to portable really.

    Now I have a 13" MBP (a lot cheaper)

Prefer it, though it lacks the SSD it's fine. Feels tougher and it has simple things (like an ethernet port..) Upgraded to 8GB of RAM as it was cheap and got Fusion running a W7 Vmachine

  3. Yes the rules were more relaxed prior to the change. The mods have been discussing for a while what should be allowed on the site, as well as the age users need to be to post pictures. Mark had thought we had come to a conclusion on the rules and well we hadn't.

The topic came up again and Mark said if the rules weren't changed he would leave. I made a thread about what users on the site thought; as Flameboard said 'it's not just about us, it's also about what you guys want.

By this point in time, Mark had removed all photos of himself from the site. The decision was made and the rules were changed (in Marks favour) but he still wanted his account deleting.

Appreciate all his help with the site while he was a mod.

  4. Still need to go to the Apple store in town sometime and play around on a Mac, not used Mac OS so. In my opinion, I just think the price is insane. Even for a 11" MBA the price is mad, even with a student discount. And without using one I wonder why, my boss said a few days ago at work he doesn't mind paying because they last alot longer then pre-built Windows machines -- somehow :S

    Those MBA's look great though.

The price of a mac mini isn't to bad...but I have a self-built gaming desktop, I'm not exactly going to have 2 desktops turned on at once. Though I could because I use dual monitors...

Like, is there things I CAN'T do on a Windows machine that I could do on a Mac...? Things might be a bit simpler such as installing and deleting programs (I think I heard that it's easy lol)

  5. Happened to me.. that's just stupid. The guy then says : "well, I don't have a camera and this is not my PC". It makes me think about who is really watching me, an old perv?

Yeah though I find it funnier when someone says to me they don't have a camera I'm like "Really..?"

It's 2011, most people have either a webcam, a phone, a camera with a phone or something. Most guys I know even have a webcam, they probably don't use it though.
