"Please or else." has always been my way.  😑  Give 'em the benefit of the doubt, write the note as though they might not even realize how much noise they're making, assume that they'll be nice and stop slamming the door as soon as you've brought it to their attention.  And then if you get any response other than total success, go scorched earth, file a complaint every single time this happens again, start documenting times, build a paper trail.  Sorry this is happening to you, sleep deprivation royally sucks.

Had this problem with my downstairs neighbors earlier this summer.  After my second time politely asking them to be quiet after midnight, I contacted the landlady.  Then the next time they woke me up I e-mailed her again, and boom, black mark on their record and threat of eviction if they do it again.  They moved out voluntarily shortly after and now my new neighbors are so damn quiet I wouldn't even know that they're there if not for the lights in their windows.

Interesting input on my situation.@StarsOnBlack thanks mate. Sorry that you've been through the same 😔♥️ I posted the letter before you responded on here. It has slightly helped but still just as bad tbh giving it a few more days until further action. 

At the end of the day sleep is everything... Without that I can't function. 

If they don't comply properly then s*it is gonna hit the fan next week. UK law is 11pm - 7am. I'm wondering if these Asians are legit! They could be immigrants for all i know.

The letting agent should have done a normal background check on their tennants & made sure they have the right to work in the UK.

Unfortunately, the undesirables to slip through.
