Depends on the saggers and there facial structure and look.  Some saggers can pull off very hot facial hair if it's well trimmed and clean cut with sharp lines.

Yeah, I think that's a contributor as well.  I'm with Admiralolsen and say that it depends on the person.  You can ask around and see if your facial hair style is working on you if you're not sure.  Lately, I only shave about once a week.  That leaves a lot and pretty long stubble by the time I shave the next time.  I've been more clean-shaven at other times in my life, though.

I think you undermined yourself with the sinful part at the end.

What are we talking about here; whether or not people who have a high desire for materialistic things are more or less attractive because of that desire. Or people looking better or the same in expensive material things?

For the former I would say it's inherent for people to be this way, to some extent. As for why most people dislike others being materialistic, isn't that just jealousy?

Hmm…I don't really get into the topic any further.  I don't really explore the possibilities of materialism or get into it myself, because of religious reasons.  It's kind of exploring why people get into sinful behavior, and my religion takes care of that for me.  I did want to agree and say I find it appalling though.

But most people do find materialist things appealing on those they desire and themselves. Why do you suppose that is?

I guess since you're asking, I don't think anybody actually finds materialism attractive nor appealing.  I can at least agree with Arthiel on that.  It's a kind of putrid, convoluted association with the notion of people's things--actually sinful.

This is not appealing at all, in my opinion.
I don't like his style of clothes. It's like showing off with the amount of money that one has.

As said, this is my opinion. Don't mean to start a verbal riot here :) x

Hmm…I see what you're saying.  But, that is not really expensive clothing.  At least, it's not worth a lot to me.

I have seen the guys you are talking about @jaceand they make me laugh when I see them in the gym.  It's funny that what they consider weightlifting is in reality, a showing off move.  I have been trying to do cardio workouts but that can be difficult for me.  I developed plantar fasciitis early last year and I was forced to hold off on any running, sports, or other cardio workouts that I had to be on my feet for.  But now that I have finally gotten that under control I was to start running again.  My other big workout is doing training for Dragon boat racing which is a major workout and a good strength training exercise.  It's also fun and enjoyable and when the weather finally warms up here in Colorado, I am going to start riding my bike a lot more.  I can always loose a lot of weight when I am riding a bike. Thank you though.

With the plantar fasciitis, you could probably see how far you can go with walking--not a great heart rate elevator (not actually exercise) nor weight reducer, but it is great activity.  I walk on days I don't lift (and do regular cardio, as I recommended for you).  You could also try to ease into the bicycling (it can be less intense and probably less difficult with the plantar fasciitis), but you said you were able to get away with running.  That's great, plantar fasciitis should only really last a couple of months at most if rested well as well.

To avoid reigniting the plantar fasciitis with your cardio when you get more intense with it, I recommend getting in your leg workouts with your lifting (importantly, squats and deadlifts to be balanced).  Those workouts also burn a lot of energy.

Agree with this 100%.  If you are overweight, lifting more and heavy weights is not the answer.  Lose weight,  eat right and cardio are key as well as an over all mild weight lifting to tone.    I am sure you are not like this,  but I see these fat and out of shape bozos coming into the gym,  take the elevator up,  do just 3 sets of massive amount of weight on the bench press and sometimes squats.  Do the steam room and that is it.  The next hour is spent eating a massive high calorie/fatty meal and bragging about how much they lifted..

Though, Admiralolsen, the lifting you're doing now is great.  And, you said you're getting a little muscular off it.  We really encourage cardio around here to get lean, though, and in general--even if you're lifting!
