Trying to way up the pros and cons between O2 and Vodafone. O2 are more reliable customer service wise but Vodafone do better deals. However, the tariffs especially with O2 are pretty expensive. As my contract is up for renewal in Feb i'm uncertain whether to stick or change networks. I've been a Vodafone customer previously so i've some experience them. Hmm..... I don't know.....

Honestly, you're always better off buying the phone outright upfront, and then using either a SIM-only contract or PAYG with a bundle, over two years (the typical length of a contract) it will save you anywhere between £50-350 dependant on the phone you choose. The downside is it costs more upfront, but the phone is unlocked and thus has greater resale value later.

Yeah, thank you so much for this delightful insight The iPhone i have now is actually my first contract phone, so really at the time i opted into contract not knowing the whole shebang but i'm deffo pleased despite the fact it's cost me the earth! Lol. When choosing the tariff, i decided upon the tariff that included no upfront cost because i'd assumed that were a wicked deal not realising that it's coz the phone had been refurbished.
