Guys, it all changes soon. From the next month we will recieve 20% less off income. The Govt will pay 80% of your wages if you have been out of work during this crisis. I still don't understand why the employer does not make up the difference. It's ludicrous in these trying times when the worker needs to say afloat pay bills, mortgages etc. The company that you work for should pay out whatever is outstanding each month so you aren't out of pocket (after the Govt's 80% backing)

We just spent our first full week in lockdown. The transition has been difficult & ofcourse disruptive for the entire nation (as also many other countries) who have done the same. The most important thing, is that we continue to self-isolate in order to save lives, prevent the infection from spreading, ease pressure on our NHS & protect ourselves. It looks like the current situation is going to continue until probably at least June. All we can do right now in the face of adversity, is continue following the Govt strict guidelines & stay safe.
